SKIN TONE-SPECIFIC FOUNDATION SHADES

We asked people to submit what they would like to learn this week on our Instagram page's Glamour section. Many of them chose to learn how to match the shade of foundation to your skin tone, so here are some theoretical explanations on how to do so.

There are many different ways to classify skin tones in the world, and there are some things you can google to get a lot of confusion based on every makeup artist's method of grouping these skin tones so they can choose foundation. However, today I'll help you with a basic method that is a standard technique of determining your skin tone.We usually take into account the undertone when choosing a foundation shade, but what exactly is undertone? Your true skin tone is known as your undertone, and makeup artists are well aware of this. Choose a foundation shade that complements your undertone. But how do you determine what your undertone is? Our three fundamental undertones are

Although most of you refer to our cool skin tone as white skin tone, it is actually known as COOL SKIN TONE. Since this skintone has a high degree of brightness, a milky texture should be chosen when choosing a texture for it.

We have WARM SKIN TONE, which is sometimes referred to as Black but is actually Deep Yellow. When choosing a foundation for this skin tone, choose one with deep radiance, even though the levels of radiance vary. Most makeup artists use foundations with bronze or mid radiance to avoid confusion.

We also have NEUTRAL SKINTON, which is primarily similar to Warm Skintone but has brighter skin. Since their undertone is lighter, most people with this skin tone use the foundation shade Golden Radiance.

It's difficult to do makeup art. It's not always necessary to apply makeup according to the rules; occasionally, you may need to try new techniques to achieve a fresh look. However, avoid being overly manipulative as this could ruin the look. The majority of makeup is occasion-based, so keep that in mind while choosing your foundation. I look forward to seeing you at the next oily skin treatment appointment.
