RESIGN TO BE BANNED FROM ALL PAGEANTS UNDER STAR ENTERTAINMENT SAYS THE NEW NATIONAL DIRECTOR OF MISS GRAND INDIA

Breaking developments have emerged from the Miss Grand International Thailand page, where the newly appointed National Director (ND) of Miss Grand India issued a strict directive. The announcement states that any contestant who withdraws or resigns from the competition will be banned from all future pageants organized under the Start Entertainment banner. This policy will extend to events such as Miss Teen India and Miss Global India, both of which are exclusively managed by Start Entertainment.

Speculation is also growing around the future of Miss Universe India. Industry sources suggest that following the Miss Universe 2025 edition, Nawat Itsaragrisil—currently the Vice President of Miss Universe Asia, responsible for the Asian and Southeast Asian regions—may assume complete control of licensing and appointments for Miss Universe operations across Asia.

In line with this anticipated transition, Akanksha Thakur, the current ND of Miss Grand India, is reportedly being considered for the Miss Universe India license. Should the license be transferred from the present holder, Nikhil Anand, the change is expected to be conducted in a formal and respectful manner.

Additionally, the statement confirms that Miss Universe Asia will now operate fully under Mr. Nawat’s leadership. The existing Indian management will no longer hold authority, as full operational control and decision-making will be centralized under his direction.
