The Miss World Organization has unveiled the official format and running order for the much-anticipated 72nd edition of the international pageant, offering a fresh structure that promises heightened competition among its global contenders.
This year’s format reveals that out of 108 participating delegates, only 10 standout contestants from each continental region—Africa, Americas & Caribbean, Asia & Oceania, and Europe—will proceed to the Quarter-Finals. These delegates will include fast-track event winners, adding more prestige to those coveted spots.
Judges will then select a top five from each region. From there, the top two will be narrowed further to a winner and a runner-up in each region, creating an elite lineup of regional queens.
In the next round, the top two candidates from each region will vie for a continental crown. Each regional winner will then form the final four, and judges will determine the overall titleholder of the 72nd Miss World, along with the first, second, and third runners-up. Should any regional winner be unable to advance, the runner-up from that region will step in.
Among the top achievers is Krishnah Gravidez of the Philippines, who secured a spot in the top 8 for Asia and Oceania. She also ranked among the top 2 overall in the Badminton Sports Challenge during the recently concluded Miss World Sports Challenge 2025 at Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad, India.
Estonia’s Eliise Randmaa also made headlines by clinching the gold award, earning her place in Europe’s Top 10 quarter-finalists. Meanwhile, Martinique’s Aurélie Joachim and Canada’s Emma Morrison followed closely behind, earning silver and bronze medals respectively.
The grand finale is set for May 31 at the HITEX Convention Center in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. There, Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic will pass on the Miss World crown to her successor.
