Nazimizye Mdolo, the former Miss Africa International, has officially acquired the Miss Intercontinental license under her company, Mis Nazi Entertainment Company Limited. The firm, which already holds the Miss Grand Tanzania license along with six others, now boasts a total of seven major national beauty pageant licenses. The newly acquired Miss Intercontinental license joins an expanding portfolio that includes Miss Cosmo Tanzania, Miss Elite Tanzania, Miss Africa Tanzania, Miss Earth Tanzania, and Miss Tourism Tanzania.
With the acquisition of the Miss Intercontinental license, a new format is anticipated for the competition. Initially, the plan was to have 25 candidates competing, narrowing down to a Top 20 and eventually to a Top 10. This format aimed to include winners of special titles and four additional finalists as runners-up. However, with the new license now in effect, organizers are considering a revised structure. The updated format may feature a Top 12, comprising seven titleholders and five runners-up, ensuring broader representation and stronger coverage of runner-up placements.
Further announcements regarding the pageant\'s structure are expected in the coming weeks.
