AHTISA MANALO HAS THIS TO SAY TO PEOPLE GIVING UNSOLICITED OPINIONS ABOUT HER MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2025 PERFORMANCE

The newly crowned Miss Universe Philippines queen Ahtisa Manalo reminded the public to be kind as she talked about the unsolicited opinions about her performance at the recently concluded beauty pageant.

On TikTok, entertainment journalist MJ Marfori posted a portion of her chat with the Quezon Province representative, who was asked about such comments and remarks she's been receiving from social media users since she won the highly coveted title.

"You're a public figure; you'll always get unsolicited advice or opinions, and I'm used to it. It's nothing new. I just hope that when giving these pieces of advice that they remember to be kind," she said.

Still, Ahtisa pointed out that hurtful words, especially when they cross the line, can sting.

"At the end of the day, even though we don't read most of it—I don't read it naman, kahit among sasabihin niyo, I don't read your comments—but sometimes, when something gets through, let's remember that we're still people. We still feel things."

Ahtisa reigned supreme at the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 coronation night held at the Mall of Asia Arena on May 2. While many were happy about her performance, some social media users claimed that other candidates deserved to win the crown instead of her.
Following her win, she's set to represent the Philippines on the global stage at the 74th Miss Universe pageant, which will take place on Nov. 21 at the Impact Muang Thong Thani Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. She's aiming to take home the fifth crown for the country after Catriona Gray (2018), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margie Moran (1973), and Gloria Diaz (1969).
