San Thar, who represented Myanmar in the Man of the World pageant, has come forward with serious allegations concerning his experience during the competition. In a public statement, he revealed that he was subjected to an inappropriate and distressing incident during his participation.
According to his account, the incident occurred on the night of May 25, when he was allegedly coerced by an individual in charge, who attempted to engage in sexual activity with him without consent. San Thar emphasized that he firmly refused the advances and expressed his disappointment with the lack of respect shown toward him and the country he represents.
He stated that he took time to consider whether to speak out, ultimately deciding that it was his responsibility, as a national representative, to share his experience. He clarified that he participated in the competition for cultural exchange and personal growth, not for any inappropriate encounters.
San Thar concluded his message by urging everyone to take care and extended his best wishes to others, reaffirming his belief in the importance of speaking out against misconduct.
