Miss Universe Organization Officially Replaces Laylah Rose with Thom Brodeur as Head of Miss USA and Miss Teen USA

In a significant leadership shift, the Miss Universe Organization has formally removed Laylah Rose from her position as the franchise owner of Miss USA and Miss Teen USA. The announcement was made through an official press release published on the Miss Universe website, confirming Thom Brodeur, founder and director of Brodeur Beauty, as the new exclusive license holder for both iconic pageants.

According to the statement, BDE MISS USA LLC, led by Brodeur, has acquired the exclusive licensing rights to operate the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA competitions. The organization emphasized that this change marks the beginning of a new era, promising innovation, modernization, and a revitalized brand identity. With a legacy that spans 74 years for Miss USA and 42 years for Miss Teen USA, the two pageants have historically served as cultural powerhouses, launching women into successful careers across fashion, media, entertainment, entrepreneurship, and public service.

Under Brodeur’s leadership, the brand is poised to enter a transformative chapter. Brodeur stated that Miss USA remains one of the most globally recognized pageant brands, and his vision is centered on leveraging modern media, technology, and fan engagement to refresh the competition and make it relevant for the next generation. He aims to bring a new level of dynamism and connection to the global fanbase by implementing innovative strategies and digital experiences.

Brodeur will serve as the President and CEO of both Miss USA and Miss Teen USA. He will be supported by a team of experienced industry professionals, including Laura Clark and Elise Banks-Lovely as national co-directors, former Miss USA Gretchen Polhemus-Jensen in charge of strategic alliances, and Holly Lynch as Executive Director of Queen Beauty Network, serving as Production Director. Additional team members include Mara Martin from VYRAL PR overseeing communications, Richie Walls and Brando Eaton from SEEN Entertainment handling talent development and management, and Mackenzie Kern from Miss ICON Media focusing on social media strategy and content.

Looking ahead, the 2025 editions of Miss USA and Miss Teen USA will incorporate a new format, including virtual competitions and enhanced digital engagement through the Pageant Fans platform. Both competitions are set to be initially hosted virtually, with their headquarters based in Miami, Florida.

This transition signals a new chapter in American pageantry, with a refreshed leadership team and a renewed commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and empowerment for young women across the country.
