The United States has been experiencing tragedy as three of the women who won the titles last year quit in less than three weeks.
The reigning Miss USA 2023, Noelia Voigt, stated on her Instagram page on May 6 that she was leaving the organization and giving up her title, citing the need for time to focus on her mental health.
After she uploaded the message, some attempted to interpret the letter, and many believed the organization was attempting to silence her. Many also called for her release from the Non Disclosure Agreement.
Her resignation letter has been circulated, she said in a note she uploaded on her instagram yesterday, stating that she is being restrained by a non-disclosure agreement. and that her request for her resignation has not yet been accepted
