Miss Earth Kenya 2025 Title Revoked from Mirel Atieno Ngesa Following Organizational Review

In a recent development that has drawn attention within Kenya's pageantry and environmental advocacy circles, the Miss Earth Kenya organization has officially announced the revocation of Mirel Atieno Ngesa's title as Miss Earth Kenya 2025. This decision follows a comprehensive internal review of her recent activities and conduct, which the organization determined were not aligned with the expectations and values upheld by the Miss Earth Kenya platform.

According to the official statement released by the Miss Earth Kenya franchise, the continued representation of Mirel as the titleholder was deemed no longer tenable. The announcement, effective immediately, marks the end of her reign and participation under the 2025 title. The decision, the organization emphasized, was not made lightly but came after careful and thorough deliberation by leadership and stakeholders.
In their statement, the organization reiterated that transparency and professionalism are core pillars of every titleholder's journey, shaping both their role during reign and the legacy they leave behind. Although the reasons for the revocation were not elaborated in detail, the emphasis on conduct and alignment with organizational values suggests a breach of the standards expected of a Miss Earth Kenya ambassador.

Miss Earth Kenya concluded by acknowledging any contributions Mirel Atieno Ngesa may have made during her time on the platform and extended their best wishes to her in all future endeavors.

This announcement marks a pivotal moment for the organization as it continues to uphold its vision of nurturing impactful and responsible young leaders committed to environmental advocacy and social transformation.
The Miss Earth Kenya program is deeply rooted in sustainable development, grassroots advocacy, and genuine environmental stewardship. Contestants are expected to act as true sustainability ambassadors, making tangible, positive impacts within their communities. The organization highlighted that its platform goes beyond beauty, focusing instead on impact-driven projects and community engagement.

Reinvigorated in 2023 under a new leadership structure, the Miss Earth Kenya initiative has operated without government funding and with limited sponsorship. Despite these challenges, it has built a strong foundation through dedication, transparency, and personal commitment from a network of volunteers and sustainability professionals. This support system has enabled the program to flourish and earn the trust of partners and stakeholders, while empowering contestants to drive change, even if they do not secure the crown.
