MISS TANZANIA SINCE 2017 TO 2020

The history of Miss Tanzania takes us down to few years back from 2017 where we witnessed a brand strategist walking a way with the crown, its none the less than Julitha Kabethe,Where as  Julitha represented Tanzania in Miss World 2017 but did not rank in the top 40. However, she was placed in the top 20 at Beauty with a Purpose.

The next year she had to crown her successor, Queen Elizabeth Makune who won Miss Tanzania 2018 The 22-year-old stunner from Dar es Salaam where she represent her country at the 2018 Miss World finals in Sanya, China in December. Elizabeth was crowned Miss Kinondoni 2018 before winning the title of Miss World Tanzania 2018. She was a student of accounting and was crowned the winner amongst 19 other contestants. Elizabeth was already a crowd favorite and further wooed the audience during the Top 5 Q&A round where she proved that she was smart as well as beautiful. As a winner, she was awarded a car among other prizes. The court of Miss World Tanzania 2018 that selected  Queen Elizabeth Makune included – 1st runner-up - Nelly Kazikazi 2nd runner-up - Sandra Giovinazzo

The next year Miss Tanzania 2019 hosted its coronation night on 23rd August 2019 where contestants from all over the country competed for the Miss World Tanzania 2019 crown and at the conclusion of the event, Sylivia Sebastian was crowned the new queen. She succeeds Miss Tanzania 2018 Queen Elizabeth Makune and presented Tanzania in Miss World 2019. By the age of 19, Sylivia had represented Lake Zone (Mwanza) in the national event. When she won the national crown, she was determined to use the honor to help women, children, and young, without forgetting the old. As a leader and a young lady, she wanted to prioritize development and raise a strong generation. The newly minted queen's court included—First Runner-Up: Queen Mugesi Ainory (Age: 19 years), Second Runner-Up: Queen Anthony Magesse. (Age: 20 years).

On December 5, 2020, the Miss Tanzania organisation crowned Rose Manfere as the new Miss Tanzania 2020, and she became Tanzania's official representative on the Miss World 2020 stage. She succeeded Miss Tanzania 2019 Sylvia Sebastian in the title and is thrilled to take over the crown as Miss Tanzania 2020.

Rose was 20 years old and was  studying a Bachelor of Science in information system administration at a time. She is very passionate about beauty pageants and representing her country on the international arena till to date . She considered herself fortunate and honoured to have the opportunity to represent her home nation on the Miss World 2020 stage until a tragic incident with the organization occured and her second runner up Juliana Rugumisa was appointed to present the country at miss world stages.
