HOW TO DO SIMPLE SELF MAKEUP

Okay! As many of you have requested, I am back as your favourite makeup artist for our Glamour category. This is my attempt at teaching you how to apply simple makeup on your own.

  • Since our skin types and tones vary, it is necessary to cleanse our faces before attempting to apply makeup. I personally like to use a facial cleanser, which is the first step that is advised even for beginners.

  • Firstly, start by taking care of your eyes. I normally start by making eye bows. Some individuals use eye bow masks to make neat margins on their eye bows, while others are skilled painters who can apply wanja with just their hands.
  • Use Mascala to thicken and darken your eyelashes after applying Wanja to the eye bows, if you haven't affixed false lashes, and don't forget to add eye liner to the outer corners of your eyes.

After that, use a primer to help manage any oil remaining on your skin from cleansing. It will also provide a good foundation for your foundation and extend the wear of your makeup.

The last lesson, for those of you with good memories, was about selecting a foundation depending on your skin tone. For that reason, I usually choose a foundation that matches my skin tone and apply it smoothly to my skin using bronzier—some people use brushes, some use sponges—but bronzier is my favourite.

Here, everyone would choose their own preference. Some individuals with wrinkles would use concealer to cover up their wrinkles, but if foundation is applied properly, it can even repair acne. I chose to apply highlighter to my jawline and other noticeable areas after applying foundation effectively.

Afterwards, I would finish off my makeup by applying lipstick. I choose the colour of lipstick I wear based on the events I'm attending. For example, if it's a date, I'll wear red lipstick; if it's an evening function, I'll wear purple lipstick. It also depends on the dress or gown I'm wearing.

I'll leave you now and meet you next week for glamour treatments. I adore you.
