1.HE/SHE SHOULD BELIEVE IN YOU
Initially, the trainer or coach should have faith in each and every one of you because training builds attachments, and the more attachments you have, the more knowledge the coach can impart to you. The drawbacks of the coach not having faith in you include the possibility that you won't understand some of the material well because he or she believes you are destined to fail the competition. Therefore, the coach's belief in you should come first before anything else, and if the coach believes in you, it is the first indication that he or she is the coach who deserves to mentor you.
2. HAS A RELIABLE COACHING AND MENTORING HISTORY
Secondly, attempt to conduct a background check on the coach. This means looking through the coach's resume to determine whether or not they have coached someone who has achieved success. The mentor must have experience mentoring someone who has demonstrated success in your industry; this is known as credibility and will reassure you that you are in good hands.
3. PRIORITY OF PROFESSIONALISM 
It is recommended that contestants who notice signs of dishonesty or unprofessional behavior from their coach—such as approaching them in an unprofessional manner or showing a lack of focus on the goal—quit and find another trainer. Pageantry demands mental and health constructs, so try to avoid having any personal affairs with them. This will help your mental health and morale during the competition.

When it comes to giving you advice on how to win the pageant, a coach's analytical skills and thorough understanding of the pageant are essential. After all, they are the ones who will teach you all the methods to winning the judges over.
