Miss Easternzone Crowned Winner, but Conflict with Miss Tanzania Organization Raises Questions
Miss Easternzone, one of the zonal competitions under the Miss Tanzania Organization, has become embroiled in controversy. The pageant, held in October last year, crowned 20-year-old Tabasham Mtogo as its winner. However, her aspirations to compete for the Miss Tanzania crown were dashed when she was not included on the list of contestants.
This exclusion has sparked questions and led to speculation about a possible dispute between the Miss Tanzania Organization and the Miss Easternzone Director, known as Mr. Code. As a result, some contestants have been forced to abandon their pageant dreams, while others have pursued other franchise titles.
The controversy extends beyond Miss Easternzone. The Miss Northernzone competition was also canceled, prompting the organization to select a single candidate from Miss Tanga. Additionally, a contestant from Lakezone withdrew from the competition due to internal conflicts with the organization, though her spot was subsequently filled.
