Zanzibar’s Ministry of Tourism Continues Partnership with Stakeholders to Promote Tourism for National Benefit
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Aboud Suleiman, highlighted the ongoing collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance the promotion of Zanzibar's tourism for the broader benefit of the country.
During a meeting with Miss Tanzania 2001, Suleiman emphasized that Miss Millen Magesa, the current owner and CEO of Millen Prive & Co. Lifestyle & Hospitality, has continued to work closely with the ministry.
Miss Magesa, who reached the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities' office in Unguja, pointed out the importance of promoting Zanzibar’s tourism, particularly its unique offerings that are unmatched globally, through strategic partnerships.
She also shared her efforts through her international campaigns, aiming to connect with global audiences and attract tourists, especially in promoting Zanzibar’s cultural and tourist landmarks.
The partnership's main objective is to provide opportunities for local communities, particularly women, to take advantage of the growing tourism sector, which promises to increase opportunities in various tourism-related fields.
Additionally, Zanzibar’s Ministry of Tourism is prepared to continue strengthening its partnerships within the tourism industry to improve the visibility and expansion of the tourism sector locally and internationally.
Miss Magesa was crowned Miss Tanzania and has since made significant strides to promote Tanzania and its tourism on the global stage. She is now focused on advancing Zanzibar’s image in the international tourism industry with the goal of representing Zanzibar at the upcoming Miss Universe competition in 2025.
